Caldwell County senior point guard Jada Boyd has been out of action since suffering a severe knee injury during the All A Classic regional championship game last month.
However, Boyd made a surprising return to the Lady Tiger starting lineup during Friday’s Senior Night matchup against Livingston Central.
With the help of the Lady Cardinals, Boyd was on the floor for the opening tip and even scored the first basket of the night.
The game was stopped after her basket so that she could be removed from the floor, but not before she got to add two more points to her career total (820, 31st on Caldwell’s all-time list).
Boyd spoke with Your Sports Edge after the game about her return to the court.
