Hoptown Puts Two Teams in Top 10 at Ice Breaker Classic

Hopkinsville had two teams finish in the top 10 Saturday at the season opening Kentucky Lake Ice Breaker Fishing Tournament hosted by Marshall County.

Caleb Brown and Ethan Worthington finished in ninth place with two fish weighing 6-pounds, 10-ounces.

Matthew Balthrop and Baylen Williams finished in tenth place with two bass weighing 5-pounds, 13-ounces.

As a team, Hopkinsville finished in fifth place out of 11 schools that caught fish with a total of 12-pounds, 7-ounces.

Nearly 90 boats took to the water on Kentucky Lake for the opening tournament of the year.  Muhlenberg County’s C.J. Stanley and Kamden Knight had the big bass at 5-pounds, 4-ounces, while the team of Timmy Dorris and Coleman Bingham of Muhlenberg County took first place with five fish totaling 18-pounds, 7-ounces.
