Former Wildcat Jake Terrell to Pitch for the Hoppers in 2020

Former Trigg County All-District pitcher Jake Terrell will be a member of the Hoptown Hoppers for the 2020 summer baseball season.

Terrell was one of 10 roster announcements made by the team Monday.  He is a sophomore at Vol State Community College in Gallatin, Tennessee.  Jake’s great-great grandfather Hermit Mitchell played for the original Hoppers in the mid-1900s.

Other players announced Monday were:

Isaac Bair is a sophomore catcher for the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Payton Back is a redshirt freshman outfielder for the Bellarmine University Knights in Louisville. His hometown is Louisville, Kentucky.

Caleb Vercek is a freshman outfielder for the Young Harris College Mountain Lions in Young Harris, Georgia. His hometown is Cumming, Georgia.

Jet Kern is a sophomore infielder and right-handed pitcher for the Georgia Highlands College Chargers in Cartersville, Georgia. His hometown is Roswell, Georgia. He plays under assistant coach and former Hoppers head coach Brock Moss at Georgia Highlands.

Cameron Bowen is a freshman right-handed pitcher and infielder for the Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters in Harrogate, Tennessee. His hometown is Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Ryan Johnson is a freshman right-handed pitcher for the Bellarmine University Knights in Louisville. His hometown is Lexington, Kentucky.

Adam Spalding is a sophomore right-handed pitcher for the Bellarmine University Knights in Louisville. His hometown is Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

Luke Helton is a freshman right-handed pitcher for the Morehead State University Eagles in Morehead. He is 6’ 1” tall and weighs 215 pounds. He is from Whiteland, Indiana.

Pat Walker is a freshman catcher for the Georgia Highlands College Chargers in Cartersville, Georgia. His hometown is Flowery Branch, Georgia. Also plays under assistant coach Brock Moss at Georgia Highlands.
