In the wake of schools closing at the direction of Gov. Andy Beshear, athletic activities at University Heights Academy, Todd County Central, and the Christian County Public School System will be suspended while the schools are closed.
UHA Athletic Director Grant Shouse said there will be no extra-curricular activities, games, or practices involving UHA teams from March 16-20 while the school is closed.
Todd County Central AD Mike Smith said the same thing applies at TCCHS while the school is closed from March 16-27.
Christian County Public Schools will be closed March 16 through April 13. CCPS Spokesman John Rittenhouse said all athletic events and extra curricular activities will be suspended as well.
Track and field was scheduled to begin Saturday, and baseball and softball were scheduled to begin Monday across the state.
