Allye Culp notched 103 strikeouts in 100 innings last season for Lyon County, and she recorded half of the Lady Lyons’ 26 wins in their run to the region championship.  Despite being one of the region’s top pitchers, her numbers weren’t good enough to be recognized by the Fifth District coaches and earn a spot on the All-District team.

Over the winter, Allye went to work.  Evenings in the gym saw her get into the best shape of her life as she prepared for her senior season in the circle.  Then the coronavirus hit.  She is holding out hope that her hard work will pay off with some innings in the circle this spring for a Lyon County team expected to challenge for a region title.  If not, Allye has a future in education in her sights.
