Madisonville's Kenny White

While he was hoping for a chance to cut down the nets at Rupp Arena, for the time being Madisonville’s Kenny White is being honored in another fashion. The Lexington Herald-Leader’s annual Boys’ All-State teams were announced Wednesday, with White being selected to be a member of the 1st Team All-State.

White scored 624 points in his senior season, for an average of 18.4 points per game. In addition to his 60.7-percent overall shooting, White connected on 31 of 88 3-point shots for 35.2-percent from behind the arc.

White was the 2nd leading rebounder for the Maroons, pulling down 8 rebounds per contest.

For his career at Madisonville, White finished with 1616 points. He had 513 in his junior season, 360 as a sophomore, and scored 119 in his freshman year.
