Crittenden County junior Ashlyn Hicks has been named to the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association preseason All-Second Region Team.
Hicks batted .495 for the Lady Rockets in 2019 with a team-high 13 doubles and 44 runs scored. She stole 14 bases in 15 attempts on the base paths.
Other players named to the preseason coaches All-Region Team were: Calista Collins and Sydney Melton of Lyon County; Hope Jones, Serenity Shemwell, and Pickle Winkler of Christian County; Kaytlyn Kemp and Sophie Margelot of Henderson County; Courtney Peyton of Madisonville; and Grace Scott of Webster County.
Other players receiving votes in the coaches preseason player poll were: Madi Choate of Caldwell County, Kaylyn Conger of Lyon County, Hadlee Carter and Graci Thomas of Webster County, and Kelsie Hill of Henderson County.
