Madisonville-North Hopkins Girls’ Basketball All-Decade Team (2010-20)

Three players from this season’s 29-2 regional runner-up squad make the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons All-Decade Team.

The top 10 players from the last 10 seasons includes players from the 2010-11 Lady Maroon squad through 2019-20.

Here is the first team:

KeKe Drake — Drake graduated in 2011, averaging 14.2 points per game for her career. She is ninth all-time in scoring at Madisonville with 1,447 points, despite missing over half of her games her senior year due to an injury.Drake played for Southeastern Illinois College before moving on to Bethel University in McKenzie, Tenn., for her junior and senior seasons. Drake was a three-time selection to the coaches’ All-2nd Region Team — 2009, 2010 and 2011 — while with the Lady Maroons.

Adarian Gray — The 2016 Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches 2nd Region Player of the Year, Gray is now 13th on the Lady Maroons’ all-time scoring chart with 1,244 points. Gray was also a standout on the softball diamond, leading the Lady Maroons to a third-place finish in the 2016 state softball tournament with a 36-5 record. She was a seven-year starter on the Lady Maroon softball team and signed to play college softball at Western Kentucky University. Gray played on the Lady Hilltopper softball team as a freshman before moving on to the WKU track and field team.

Jolaine “Punkin” McNary — McNary was named to the coaches’ All-2nd Region Team four straight years — 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. McNary is fifth on the Lady Maroons’ career scoring list with 1,558 points. She scored 10.9 points a game and grabbed 6.9 rebounds in the 2013-14 season to help Madisonville go 21-9. She averaged 11.5 points for her high school career.

Courtney Peyton — Peyton was named to the All-2nd Region Team three times — 2018, 2019 and 2020. She averaged 17.9 points a game while helping the Lady Maroons go 29-2 this past season and reach the championship game of the 2nd Region tournament. Peyton finished seventh on the Lady Maroons’ all-time scoring list with 1,507 points. She will play basketball and softball at Brescia University.

Camryn LaGrange — With 1,289 career points, LaGrange is already 11th on the Lady Maroons’ all-time scoring list. With two more seasons remaining, LaGrange is on pace to break Tonya Wells’ school record of 1,907 points. LaGrange, a guard, has been named to the coaches’ All-2nd Region team each of the past two seasons. LaGrange scored 16.2 points a game while helping the Lady Maroons go 29-2 this past season. As a freshman, she led the team in scoring at 16.6 points as Madisonville went 23-8.

Here is the second team:

Shaniya Whitsell — Whitsell is 18th among the Lady Maroons’ all-time leading scorers with 1,095 points at Madisonville. She was named to the All-2nd Region Team in 2016 following her senior season.

Molly Stone — Stone was named to the coaches’ association All-2nd Region team in both 2016 and 2017. Stone scored 927 points as a Lady Maroon, good enough for 25th on the team’s career scoring list.

Lindsey Peyton — Peyton finished 35th on the Lady Maroons’ all-time scoring list with 783 points. She also grabbed 655 career rebounds. Peyton averaged 9.6 points and a team-best 6.7 rebounds a game for this season’s 29-2 squad. She was named to the coaches association’s All-2nd Region Team as a senior. Like her sister, Lindsey Peyton will play basketball and softball at Brescia.

Shyia Foster — Foster ranks 31st on Madisonville’s all-time scoring list with 793 points. Foster was second on the team in the 2014-15 season at 10.2 points a game as the Lady Maroons went 20-10.

Irelane Enoch — Enoch is 29th on Madisonville’s career scoring list with 855 points. Enoch played in four games as a sixth grader, and is the only player in Lady Maroons’ history to have seen varsity action for seven seasons.
