Todd County Central is looking for a new girls’ basketball coach following the resignation of Scott Fleming after one season.
TCCHS Athletic Director Mike Smith was appreciative of the job Fleming did on the bench for the Lady Rebels, who got off to a late start in last summer’s workouts while the school named a coach. Todd County was 3-24 last season under Fleming, who had been a long-time boys’ assistant coach under two different coaches.
The new coach will inherit a program that has won just 27 games the past four seasons. While the Lady Rebels graduate four seniors, they return a nucleus of young players who saw a lot of time on the hardwood in 2019-20.
Smith said the job opening has been posted with the school and with the KHSAA. He also said the school is also looking for a head dance team coach and an assistant girls’ soccer coach, and those openings have also been posted.
