A former Christian County basketball standout has made his decision on where he will hit the hardwood next season, with Mikeon Mathis signing to continue his basketball career at Campbellsville University-Somerset.  The Tigers compete in the USCAA, or United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Mathis was an All-District and All-Region performer during his senior season with the Colonels, also earning Region All-Tournament team recognition.  His 12.5 points per game was second on the team, while his 44 3-point makes were third-most.  He poured in 23 points in a victory over UHA to give the Colonels their first 8th-District title since the 2015-16 season.

Talking about his seniors, Coach Kerry Stovall said, “in a whatever could go wrong went wrong season, they never flinched or listened to the noise around them.”

In addition to Christian County teammate Kobe Dillard, Mathis will also be joining forces with former UHA standout Malik Lovan for the Tigers.
