With the spring sports season in the books prematurely, YourSportsEdge.com has reached out to coaches, and they have provided us with information and comments on their seniors.  We will be recognizing the Class of 2020 for the remainder of what would have been the spring sports season.

Emily Huntsman is a member of the Trigg County bass fishing team.

Emily is a four year member of the fishing team and will graduate with a 3.96 GPA. She plans on attending West Kentucky Community and Technical College where she will major in Radiography and Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

From Trigg Coach Coach Scott Schrock:

“Emily’s biggest achievement was qualifying for the state tournament her junior year.  She finished in 10th place at the Region 1 tournament which qualified her for the state tourney.  After a difficult first day at the state tournament, she had one of the best limits of fish the second day and finished in a respectable 22nd place out of 90 teams.”

“Emily’s favorite memories of being on the fishing team are the team meals at HuB’s before each region tournament and the full experience of fishing in the state tournament with her dad as the boat captain.  She was going to fish with Jordan Hampton again this year to try and make it back to the state championship.  Staying in a cabin on Kentucky Lake, dinner with teammates and family members before the tournament, and competing for the championship with her dad are memories she will cherish forever,” Schrock said.
