Madisonville’s Jackson Hill birdied three of his first five holes on his way to shooting a 1-under par and winning the Bluegrass Junior Golf Tour stop at the Calvert City Country Club Thursday.
Hill won by two shots over Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds and Marshall County’s Jay Nimmo and Trey Wall. Hill, who began his round on hole no. 10, had seven pars and two bogeys over his final nine holes to take first place.
Hill, who will be a junior this fall, finished eighth at the region tournament last year.
