Karlie Rennison thought she had put a bout with Lyme Disease behind her and was ready to attack her senior season at Caldwell County.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March, costing everyone their 202 high school softball season.
But Rennison looks to have more softball ahead of her after signing to play at Centre College.
A signing ceremony was held for Rennison and her family on Friday at Caldwell County High School. The event was held outside to keep with social distancing guidelines.
Rennison, an outfielder, was a key member of Caldwell’s regional runner-up squad in 2018.
She was one of just three seniors expected to see action this spring for the Lady Tigers.
Centre College is a private liberal arts college in Danville.
The Colonels compete in the Southern Athletic Association at the NCAA Division III level.
