Lyon County freshman Cathryn Brown posted an 80 at Paxton Park Country Club on Wednesday, finishing 3rd on the day and doing enough to take 1st-place in the Bluegrass Golf Tour combo regional 15-18 division. Brown also shot an 80 at last week’s stop at Calvert City Country Club, finishing with a +17 160 overall.
Apollo’s Macey Brown led the field on Wednesday with a +3 74. Hannah Sumner was 6th after shooting a +13 84, while Caldwell County freshman Claire Knoth finished in a tie for 11th with a 92.
Sumner finished 5th in the combo regional with a combined 168 and Knoth was 9th with a 185.
