A walk off run scored on an error in the bottom of the 8th inning handed the Louisville Lady Sluggers 18U their first loss of the summer season Sunday morning. The Lady Sluggers fell to the Carolina Cardinals 3-2 in the first round of bracket play in the ProSwings Power 50, in Cookeville, Tennessee.
It was a tough day at the plate for a couple of area players on Sunday.
Lyon County’s Calista Collins finished 0-2, while Christian County’s Reni Shemwell ended up 0-1.
The Lady Sluggers 18U finished the weekend 3-1-1.
