It was a pretty good weekend on the softball field for a Christian County Lady Colonel. Pickle Winkler came up with four hits over two games Saturday afternoon, as the Louisville Lady Sluggers 18U picked up a pair of wins in action at Lee S. Jones Park, in Eddyville.
In her first game of the day, Winkler went 2-3 as the Lady Sluggers cruised past the Indiana Gators 16U 20-0. Winkler blasted a home run, drove in three runs, and scored twice in the contest. She added a stolen base to her totals as well.
The second game of the day saw Winkler come up with another 2-3 effort at the plate. She added two stolen bases to her totals, as the Lady Sluggers 18U upended the Lady Sluggers Zuege 16U 17-4.
