Cate Blane hasn’t rushed back to competition this summer as the Hopkinsville eighth-grader works toward her second season on the high school team. On Wednesday, she showed there wasn’t much rust to be shaken off her game as she shot an 8-over 79 to finish in a tie atop the 12-14 age division of the Bluegrass Golf Tour stop at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Blane shot even-par over the final seven holes, with her back nine score serving as the tie-breaker with Calloway County’s Skylar Waller.
