Christian County’s Hannah Sumner was runner-up in the girls’ 15-18 age group at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course in Franklin on Thursday.
Sumner was just one shot behind the winner, carding a 10-over-par 82 in the Bluegrass Golf Tour Junior Series event.
Katie Gray of Elizabethtown claimed medalist honors with an 81.
Sumner, who will play college golf at Lindsey Wilson, had three birdies during her round, shooting 4-over on the front and 6-over on the back.
Gray had just one birdie, but shot 3-over on the back nine after going 6-over on the front.
Caldwell County’s Claire Knoth finished in a three-way tie for third with an 84, joining Jacy Stricker of Sellersburg, Ind., and Reagan Richardson of Bowling Green.
