The Louisville Lady Sluggers 16U [Kuhn] softball team battled through the loser’s bracket and managed a second-place finish Sunday at the Mid South Summer Showcase in Franklin, Tennessee.
After dropping three straight games in pool play Friday and Saturday, the Lady Sluggers won four straight games in the loser’s bracket before falling to Tennessee Mojo 3-0 in the championship game.
Tenley Gilbert [Christian County] had four hits and three runs over the weekend while playing shortstop. Caldwell County’s Allie Felker made the move to third base and added a pair of hits and scored three runs.
The Lady Sluggers are now 7-5 on the summer circuit.
