Caldwell County alum Gabe East got the start for the National team in the Prospects Baseball Summer League opener Monday at Brooks Stadium in Paducah. He had some rust to shake off but did fan two batters in just over an inning of work in getting the no-decision.
East talked about the feeling of being back on the mound, facing a former high school teammate, and what lies ahead of him at Rend Lake College.
