Elijah Forbes fired scores in the 30s on each side of the golf course to take first place Tuesday at the GO Junior Golf Series stop at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Course in Franklin.
The Logan County senior shot a 2-over 38 on the front nine and a 3-over 39 on the back nine for a final score of 77, which was two shots better than Owensboro’s J.T. Payne in the 16-18 age division.
Russellville’s Daylan Roberts shot a round of 85 to finish tied for fifth place.
