Cathryn Brown slipped six shots in the second round to finish fourth at the Kentucky Junior PGA Marshall Strong Classic at the Calvert City County Club Sunday.
The Lyon County sophomore used two birdies and nine pars to come in with a first-round score of 81. She didn’t have any birdies on Sunday as her second round 87 pushed her to 24-over and a fourth-place finish in the championship division.
Brown knows she still has some work to do ahead of the fall high school season and a return trip to Calvert City for the region tournament. She said her work will begin with her iron play.
