Caldwell County and Trigg County took the winner and runner-up positions in the 2020 YourSportsEdge.Com/First Financial Bank Girls Basketball “Fan Faves.”

Caldwell County’s Jacey Jaggers finished #1 in the voting this year. Jaggers played almost half her junior season with an injured knee that would require surgery after the season, but she still managed to post 12.2 points per game for the 16-15 Lady Tigers. Both her scoring average and her 44.4% shooting from the floor were second on the team and ranked in the top 15 of the 2nd Region.

She finished in the top 10 in the region with 43 made 3-pointers at a rate just over 36%, while her 77% clip from the free throw line was third-best in the region. Jaggers was named to both the All-7th District and All-Region teams, while also earning mention in Rick Bolus’ High Potential Recruiting Service Top 50+ Rising Players in the state.

Trigg County’s Rylee Bush finished as the runner-up in the voting. Bush was one of the players at the center of the Lady Wildcats’ resurgence under coach Cory Coble, capping her career with back-to-back 5th District titles. Trigg’s 25-9 mark her senior year was the most wins in school history and included a 10-game win streak that also set a program record.

She was third on the team in scoring at just under 9 points per game, while she led the team and was 11th in the region with 7.5 rebounds per outing. Bush’s 833 career points place her 19th all-time at Trigg, while her 702 rebounds rank 7th. She set a record with 139 games played during her career and was named to both the All-District and All-Region teams as a senior.
