In the wake of the KHSAA’s decision regarding the start of high school football this fall in Kentucky, another youth football organization has announced its plans for starting up this year. The Kentucky Middle School Football Association released its plans for the 2020 season late Tuesday night.

According to a post on the organization’s Twitter page, the middle school season is now targeted to start the week of September 12th. Middle school teams will be allowed to begin practice on August 24, following the organization’s acclimation guidelines.

Like the KHSAA, there will be no scrimmages allowed during the 2020 season.

Officials with the KMSFA say more information will be forthcoming, as logistics and a statewide conference call takes place.
