It was a soggy start to the 2020 high school golf season at the Daviess County Invitational at Ben Hawes Golf Course on Friday, with Evan Pyle leading the Hopkinsville Tigers to a 6th-place showing at the event.
Despite a couple of lengthy weather stoppages, Pyle shot a 79 to finish in a four-way tie for 12th. Will Binkley and Calvin Demps both shot 84, followed by Andrew Riggs with an 87 and Joey Falco with a 90.
The Tigers will be back on the course on Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf & Country Club when they host the Hopkinsville Invitational.
