The American team swept the Kentucky Prospects Collegiate Baseball League playoff series by routing the National team 10-1 Thursday night in Paducah.

Five American pitchers held the National squad to just a single unearned run on only three base hits as the league wrapped up its summer league at Brooks Stadium.

Riley Harris was the winning pitcher for the American side, which won the best-of-three playoff series two games to none. Harris gave up just one hit in four innings while striking out three and walking two.

C.J. Johnson, Cameron Head, Brock Anderson and Ty Ramey helped to shut down the National squad.

Meanwhile, the American team recorded seven base hits and took advantage of 12 walks.

Jase Felker was the only player in the game with more than one base hit, going 2-for-3 and scoring a run. Blake Schmitt was 1-for-3 but drove in three and scored a run for the American team.

Grant Davis doubled for the National team for the only extra-base hit in the contest.

Three runs in each of the third, fifth and eighth innings carried the American team to the sweep.
