Solid rounds from Micah Smith and Landon Hunt led the way for the Christian County Colonels Thursday as the Colonels hosted the Christian County Invitational at Western Hills Golf Course. The Colonels finished the day with a team score of 357, placing them in a tie with the Greenwood B team for 11th place.
Greenwood’s A team won the day with a total of 302. Madisonville-North Hopkins and Daviess County were seven shots back at 309. Daviess County won the tiebreaker to take 2nd place.
Micah Smith shot the low round of the day for the Colonels with a round of 78, while seventh-grader Landon Hunt shot a season-best 83.
