Madisonville-North Hopkins’ Jackson Hill is playing some of the best golf of any high school golfer in Western Kentucky at the moment. Hill shot a 3-under par 68 Thursday to take medalist honors and lead his team to third place at the Christian County Invitational held at Western Hills Golf Course.

It was Hill’s second invitational win in as many days. He won the Madisonville Invitational on Wednesday at Lakeshore Country Club.

Hill’s round of 68 was two shots better than that of Hopkinsville’s James Folz, who shot a 70 to finish in second place. Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds was not far behind in third with a round of 72.

In the team competition, the Maroons shot a team score of 309, which tied them with Daviess County for second place, however, the Panthers had the edge in the tiebreaker. Both teams finished seven shots behind Greenwood, which won the day with a team round of 302.
