The Caldwell County Tiger golf team was second in a four-team match Monday at Rolling Hills Country Club in Paducah.
Austin Crick led the Tigers, carding the third-lowest score of the day with a 39 (updated from 38 in original story).
McCracken County’s Garrett Rikel and Davis Vessels shared medalist honors with 37s. McCracken’s Tyler Dew had a 38.
The Mustangs won the match with a team score of 152.
Caldwell was next at 179.
McCracken County’s “B” team carded a 187 and Murray shot a 188.
Besides Crick’s 38 on Monday, Caldwell got a 45 from Ryan Hammett, a 46 from Collin Whittington and a 49 from Camden McGregor.
Caldwell’s guys will play again on Saturday when they take part in the Hopkins County Central Invitational. That event will be played on the Madisonville Country Club golf course.
