University Heights Academy continued its stronghold on the girls’ Second Region All-A soccer landscape with a 9-0 win over Crittenden County to claim the region title.
The win in Eddyville Friday was UHA’s 22nd consecutive All-A Tourney win.
Kate Cansler and Grace Pape each scored four goals in the win for UHA, with Cansler’s hat trick coming in the first half as the Lady Blazers built a 4-0 lead over the Lady Rockets.
Pape secured her hat trick 10 minutes into the second half with a pair of goals to push the UHA lead to 6-0.
Addi Fourqurean tallied her first goal of the night in the 58th minute. Pape and Cansler rounded out scoring with their fourth goals of the night.
Pape and Emma Perry added a pair of assists, and the UHA defense held Crittenden to six shots in the game.
UHA will travel to the winner of the First Region winner for an All-A sectional contest with the date and time to be determined later. UHA and Murray have met 11 straight times in the sectional with the Lady Tigers winning nine of those. UHA beat Murray last year to advance to the All-A state tourney.
