Heritage Christian Sweeps Past Bowling Green Christian

It was a night to break out the brooms for the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors. HCA got big minutes on the court from several players as they got past Bowling Green Christian in straight sets.

The opening set saw Heritage control the set from early on, as the Lady Warriors won the set 25-17. Lexi Crisp and Elle Heltsley were formidable at the net as HCA took the 1-0 lead in the match.

Heritage took an early 4-0 lead in the second set. From that point, the Lady Warriors were able to keep Bowling Green Christian at arms length to win the set 25-16, and go up 2-0 in the match.

Bowling Green Christian opened with the early lead in the third set and the set was a battle from that point. Trailing by two points late in the set, Heritage was able to battle back and close out the match by winning the set 26-24. In addition to solid play up front from Crisp and Heltsley, the Lady Warriors got key moments from 8th grader Mya Goodwin to help seal the win.

Crisp and Heltsley finished with 10 kils each. Goodwin added five.

Goodwin led HCA with 15 assists, while Bailey Craft added 13.

Heltsley finished with 5 service aces. Mya Goodwin added three more for Heritage Christian.
