Colonels Battle Back for Draw at Logan County

Despite twice trailing on the road Monday night at Logan County, the Christian County boys’ soccer team pitched a shutout in the second half and finished with a 2-2 draw with the Cougars.

Seth Burchett gave Logan County the lead off an assist from Jeffrey Taylor, but Christian County tied things up when Thomas Barrett scored with help from Kenton Lancaster.  However, the Cougars were back in front at the halftime break after Taylor found the back of the net for a 2-1 score.

The Colonel defense tightened the screws over the second forty minutes, keeping the Cougars off the board and once again pulling even on an Ashton Smith goal off a Barrett assist.

Christian County will be back on its home field at the Stadium of Champions on Tuesday, with the 2-3-2 Warren East Raiders scheduled to visit.
