Crick Ties for 14th to Lead Caldwell Golfers at Regional

Caldwell County’s Austin Crick shot an 84 to tie for 14th place to lead the Tiger golfers at Monday’s 1st Region Golf Tournament at Murray Country Club.

Caldwell’s golfers started on the back nine in the regional tournament, with Crick carding a 9-over 45 on that side.

However, Crick shot a 3-over 39 on the front nine to finish at 12-over 84 for the event, just three shots away from qualifying for the state golf tournament.

Camden McGregor was next for the Tigers, tying for 35th place with a 95.

Collin Whittington tied for 38th with a 97.

Also playing for the Tigers on Monday, Ryan Hammett shot a 125 and Cannon Littlejohn 137.

Marshall County’s Jay Nimmo won his third straight individual championship with an even-par 72 on Monday.

Nimmo is the defending state champion.

Marshall also won the team championship by 15 shots, finishing with a total of 311.
