The Lyon County Lyons picked up their second win in their last three matches Monday evening. Behind the strong play of goalie Cole Schroeder, the Lyons picked up a 2-0 win at home over the Mayfield Cardinals.
Schroeder finished the night with 20 saves in the net, as Lyon County picked up its second shutout win of the season.
Todd Huddleston led the offensive attack for the Lyons, finishing with two goals. Colt Banister scored the other goal for Lyon County.
Timothy Stewart provided assists on two of the Lyon County goals. A.J. Padilla had the assist on the other.
The Lyons improve to 3-4 on the season with the win. Lyon County is on the road Tuesday for the first match in a boys-girls doubleheader at Caldwell County.
