The Hopkinsville Tigers headed off to Bowling Green Thursday night looking to build on the momentum of a shutout win Tuesday night against Logan County. However, the Greenwood Gators had plans of their own as the two teams met on the pitch.
Greenwood held the Tigers without a goal and score just the one they needed, as the Gators picked up the 1-0 win on their home turf.
Zach Moss gave Hopkinsville a solid effort in goal, giving up just the one score, and coming up with four saves. But, the lack of offensive firepower was something the Tigers could not overcome in the match.
The loss drops Hopkinsville to 3-6 on the season. The Tigers are scheduled to wrap up the regular season next Thursday when they travel to Apollo.
