If nothing else, Lyon County has been consistent in how they are racking up girls’ district soccer wins.  Lyon beat Trigg County 3-0 Thursday in Eddyville, their second 3-0 win over the Lady Wildcats this year.

Last month, the Lady Lyons posted a pair of 6-1 wins over district foe Crittenden County.

Lyon County has now won six of the last eight meetings with the Lady Wildcats.

Lyon got goals from their leading scorers this season – Rose Smith, Leah Schroeder, and Sydney Hoffman.  Schroeder’s tally was her 14th of the season.  Smith now has 12, and Hoffman has four goals.  Smith and Schroeder both had assists.

Maddie Russell picked up her second shutout of the season in goal for the Lady Wildcats.

After losing its first three games to start the season, Lyon County has won six of seven and clinched the top seed in the district tournament and a trip to the region tournament. They will host Union County Monday.

Trigg County is now 2-3-1 on the season and will play at Todd County Central Saturday morning.
