The Todd County Central Lady Rebels put the brakes on a six match losing skid Tuesday evening. The Lady Rebels traveled to Mayfield and came away with a 3-0 win over the Lady Cardinals.
The victory over Mayfield was the third shutout win of the season for Todd County Central. They also have shutout wins over Russellville and Monroe County.
Madison Henderson returned to the Lady Rebels’ lineup with a hat trick, while Sam Case made eight saves in goal to earn the shutout win.
While the Lady Rebels ended a six match losing streak, it should be duly noted that three of those six losses could have easily swung the other direction. In that stretch the Lady Rebels had single goal losses to Franklin-Simpson, Muhlenberg County, and Logan County in overtime.
Todd County Central is set to wrap up the regular season Thursday evening when they host Butler County at 6pm.
The Lady Rebels will then open district tournament play Monday evening at 8:00pm when they host Franklin-Simpson.
