Caldwell Volleyball Bounces Back Against Madisonville

The Caldwell County volleyball team bounced back from a 3-0 loss to Henderson County on Tuesday by beating Madisonville-North Hopkins 3-0 Thursday night at the CAB gym.

The Lady Tigers have won 32 straight matches against the Lady Maroons. Caldwell now leads the all-time series 34-5.

Caldwell’s girls are 10-4 after dealing the Lady Maroons a 25-12, 25-10, 25-17 setback.

Madisonville is 12-3.

Olivia Mitchell had 16 kills, two block and 15 digs for the Lady Tigers while Abby Griggs also had 16 kills along with four blocks and two digs.

Savannah Scott added six kills. Kendyll Prowell had 40 set assists and eight digs. Mary Tays recorded two kills and 21 digs. Riley Thomas added 15 digs.

Caldwell’s girls will play twice on Saturday at Christian County, facing the host Lady Colonels at 9 a.m. then taking on Bowling Green at 11 a.m.
