A good start in her first state tournament saw Rheagan Lindsey shoot a career-best score and make the cut at the KHSAA State Golf Tournament at the Bowling Green Country Club.
The University Heights Academy sophomore shot an 11-over 83 to finish tied for 41st after the first round. She shot a 40 on the front nine that included a birdie on the par-3 third hole. She shot a 43 on the back nine and saved par with a long putt on No. 17.
Lindsey’s round marked a new career-best for her. She will conclude the tournament Saturday at the Bowling Green Country Club.
