Hopkinsville’s Chase Atkins Top Overall Runner at Fast Cats Classic

Hopkinsville’s Chase Atkins brought home a first place finish in his division and in the combined boys scores Saturday morning at the Daviess County Fast Cats Classic. Atkins finished his run with a time of 15:36.96 to claim the top spot in the “Red” division of the event, which was run at Yellow Creek Park, in Owensboro. The time was also good enough for the overall 1st place of the event.

D.K. Schnieders, of Louisville Holy Cross, finished in 2nd place in the division with a time of 16:03.16. His teammate Josh Meiman took 3rd with a time of 16:12.31.

In the team competition, the Hopkinsville Tigers took 10th place in the “Red” division with a team total of 219 points. Daviess County picked up first place with 66 points. Greenwood was second with 101.

Hopkinsville would finish 13th in the combined boys teams scores.

Hopkinsville finishes in the race were:

Chase Atkins – 15:36.96 – 1st place
Quinn Miller – 18:26.29 – 44th place
Chance Jones – 19:14.35 – 54th place
Ross Binkley – 19:14.55 – 55th place
Jonathan Bridges – 24:36.78 – 72nd place
