2020 has been a season of benchmarks for Rheagan Lindsey. The University Heights Academy sophomore had goals of qualifying for both the All A Classic State Tournament and the KHSAA State Tournament. She did both.
After Friday’s career-best round of 83, she became the first UHA girls’ golfer since Anna Moore in 2013 to make the cut to the second day. She finished play in the state tourney with a round of 88, which tied her for 55th place at 27-over for the two days.
Lindsey found the putts tougher to come by Saturday while playing in rainy and windy conditions. However, her play over the weekend gives her a good foundation for 2021 as she ups the goals she wants to accomplish on the golf course.
