Lady Rebels Drop Tilts With Caldwell, Warren East

Todd County Central finished up regular-season volleyball action with a pair of setbacks to strong competition in Princeton on Saturday.

The Lady Rebels dropped their opener 3-1 to Caldwell County before bowing to Warren East 3-0.

Todd got off to a good start against Caldwell, taking the first set 25-13. But the homestanding Lady Tigers (14-5) came back to win the next three sets 25-16, 25-13, 25-17.

Lucy Chester had 14 kills, a block, six digs and three aces for the Lady Rebels.

Presley Conquest had nine kills and six digs while Lanie Bivins recorded nine kills.

Addleigh Wofford tallied 28 assists and a block. Meredith Drummond had a team-high 15 digs.

Lynnlee Jones recorded four kills while Autumn Sears had five aces.

For Caldwell, Olivia Mitchell had 17 kills, three blocks, 11 digs and an ace while Abby Griggs recorded 16 kills, two blocks and two aces.

Kendyll Prowell finished with 39 set assists for the Lady Tigers.

Todd then faced Warren East (10-8) in its second match.

The Lady Raiders prevailed in straight sets 25-21, 25-13, 25-14.

Bivins had 13 kills, two blocks and four aces in that match. Chester added six kills, five digs and three aces.

Wofford tallied 22 set assists while Drummond had 13 digs.

Jones added three kills while Chloe Willis had two kills. Conquest had one kill and four digs.

The Lady Raiders got 10 kills and six digs from Morgan Krisher while Makaylah Cason had seven kills and a block. Jada Knight recorded 22 assists and 15 digs to go with two kills and a block.

Todd will take a 9-10 record into the 13th District tournament next week. The Lady Rebels will face Franklin-Simpson (8-10) in semifinal action Monday night at Logan County.
