A top-5 finish by Grant Shrader led Fort Campbell to a third-place finish at the region cross country meet Saturday and a berth in next week’s state met in Paris.
The Falcon junior ran the 3.1-mile course in a time of 19:15 to finish in fifth place. Amari Waddy ran a 20:09 to finish 18th. Landen Rhodd was 20th in 20:11, and Aiden Fix was 22nd in 20:32.
Brock Sharp finished 32nd for the Falcons, Scott Bricker was 42nd, and Ian Surrency was 50th.
Fort Campbell scored 90 points as a team to finish third behind Dawson Springs [34] and University Heights Academy [62].
The Falcons will run in Saturday’s Class 1A State Meet at the Bourbon County Park.
