Ella Plumb is a wrestler without a season.  The Fort Campbell senior is a member of the school’s girls’ wrestling team. However, she came into 2020 knowing that wrestling would be a long shot due to the coronavirus and the guard against the spread.

In 2018, Plumb decided to join the wrestling team in a tribute to her father, Ssg. Jason Plumb, who died of a heart attack during a PT exercise at Fort Campbell at the age of 41, and her brother Evan, an enlisted soldier who wrestled for the Falcons.

Even though her wrestling season is in flux, Plumb has found a new athletic family with the Fort Campbell cross country team that won the region title Saturday and will compete at state Saturday.  It may be the last chance Plumb gets to compete in athletics until the spring.
