Four Marshall County golfers have been recognized by the Bluegrass Golf Foundation based on their play during the 2020 season.

Trinity Beth, Savannah Howell, and Megan Hertter were each named Bluegrass All-Stars from Region 1. Katie Roberts was named honorable mention.

Beth, a 7th grader, was named Kentucky Miss Golf for a season that saw her rack up three first-place finishes and two runner-up finishes in invitationals.  She was the runner-up in the All-State Championship, won the Region I title, and finished fourth at the KHSAA State Championships.

Howell, who gave a verbal commitment to play college golf at Western Kentucky University last month, won the Hopkinsville Invitational, tied for second at the Region I Tournament, and finished fifth at the state tournament.

Hertter had several top-10 finishes in big invitationals throughout the season and finished tied for second place at the Region I Tournament.  She tied for 16th at the KHSAA State Golf Tournament.

Roberts tied for region runner-up with her teammates Hertter and Howell.  She went on to finish 37th at the state tournament.

Results from events are used to determine Bluegrass Golf All-Stars and Honorable Mentions. A total of 112 boys and girls are recognized as Bluegrass Golf All-Stars with an additional 67 players recognized as Honorable Mentions.

The ranking system combines points earned in the best five (5) high school regular-season events, Regional Tournament, and State Tournament. The points system focuses on complete transparency with at least three All-Stars and two Honorable Mentions from each high school golf region.

Each of the All-Stars will receive a membership with the Bluegrass Golf Tour and an invitation to compete in the Cullan Brown Invitational which helps support the Cullan Brown Memorial West Kentucky Junior Golf Development Fund.
