The Caldwell County High School wrestling season begins Thursday night when the Tiger matmen travel to Murray to face Paducah Tilghman and host Calloway County in dual matches.

Caldwell wrestling coach Jason Walls believes he has a deep lineup of wrestlers for this season that should be very competitive.

Caldwell County will return to Calloway Saturday morning for more action. Schools scheduled to compete in the dual-match event are Caldwell, Calloway, Trigg County and McCracken County.

Caldwell has a home dual match set for next Thursday, Jan. 14, against Ohio County and Union County.

With the late start to the season because of COVID-19, the annual Armstrong Tiger Classic at the CAB gym has been pushed back to Saturday, Feb. 20, this season.

The regional tournament is set for March 20 at Union County.

The state tourney is set for March 25-27 in Lexington.

Your Sports Edge spoke with Walls about the upcoming wrestling season at Caldwell.
