Junior golfers in Kentucky can play the 2021 season on the Bluegrass Golf Tour for free thanks to contributions from two organizations geared to promoting and growing the game in the state.
The free membership offer for 2021 is available thanks to $1,000 in support from the Playing For Mason Foundation and Cullan Brown Memorial West Kentucky Junior Golf Development Fund.
The deadline to sign up for the free membership is March 4, although additional donations from BGT members could extend the program beyond March 4. Any donation to the “Bluegrass Golf Foundation” is tax-deductible.
The Bluegrass Golf Tour schedule is designed to avoid as many conflicts as possible with other tours while providing options close to home for as many players as possible. The BGT is the newest junior golf tour in the state and was highly visible in western Kentucky in 2020 as the first statewide junior golf tour to resume playing after the spring sports shutdown due to COVID-19.
Tournament registration will open Friday, March 5.
