Dawson Springs’ Landon Pace Atop First KHSAA Scoring List of Season

Four boys basketball players from the 2nd Region, three of them from the 7th District, are among the top scorers in the state so far this season, according to stats released early Wednesday morning by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. The numbers were compiled from teams who are missing no more than two stats reports at the time the numbers were compiled.

Landon Pace, from Dawson Springs, was the top scorer in the state in the report, averaging 37.5 points per contest after two games for the Panthers.

Lyon County freshman Travis Perry was 12th on the list, averaging 28.3 points per game after nine contests.

Madisonville’s Kale Gaither, who transferred into the Maroon program over the summer, hits the list at #39, averaging 22.5 points a game after four games.

Also, out of the 7th District, Hopkins Central’s Marcus Eaves come in at #46 in the state in scoring, with an average of 22.0 points, two games into the Storm’s season.
