One of the top defensive players for the Hopkinsville Tigers has announced where he plans to continue his football career on the collegiate level. Donyea Welch announced in a social media post Thursday afternoon that he would be heading west to attend Fullerton College, in Fullerton, California.
Welch finished the 2020 season second on the Tigers in tackles with 25. He had five tackles for loss and two sacks. He added one forced fumble and one defensive fumble recovery.
Fullerton College is a part of the California Community College System. The Fullerton College Hornets are members of the Southern California Football Association.
