Calloway County made Lyon County work for its 13th win of the season.

The visiting Lakers used a blistering first-quarter shooting display to build a 15-point lead.

But Lyon not only battled back, the Lyons used a 31-point turnaround to capture an 81-65 victory Saturday afternoon in the Akridge Farm Supply Ace Hardware Shootout in Eddyville.

Travis Perry pumped in 38 points for the Lyons, who played the game without big man Jackson Shoulders.

Calloway (4-8) hit eight 3-pointers in the first quarter and built a 29-14 lead with over a minute and a half remaining in the stanza.

But Perry netted 19 points in the second period as Lyon used a 30-19 advantage in that frame to draw even at 48-48 following a furious first half by the two squads.

Lyon (13-0) then opened the second half with a 12-2 run to build a double-digit lead, and controlled the contest the rest of the way while claiming the 16-point decision.

Brady Shoulders added 18 points and nine steals for the Lyons while Jack Reddick tossed in 10.
